Key Dates in the Application Process

The following table provides both deadlines for the application process and timelines for program review and decision-making. Please pay careful attention to these deadlines when submitting your application.

Date Process Description Comments
February 1 Deadline to submit Application for Graduate Studies, the Masters or Post-Baccalaureate Diploma Program Applications, and the Application Fee No components of your application will be processed until the application fee is received. Applications that are incomplete (transcripts/documents not received by the application deadline) will not be reviewed. Refer to your GSAS Application Checklist prior to the deadline to ensure that FHD has received all hard copy documents.
February 1 Deadline to submit Advance Credit Assessments (include with other hard copy materials). Advance Credit will only be assessed after the offer of admission has been accepted. Documents must be submitted with your application materials.
April 15 Offer of Admission (or notification of unsuccessful application) posted to your GCAP application page (Checklist/Application Status). Due to the volume of applicants, administrative staff are not able to provide admission information by phone or email.
April 25 The deadline to reply to the Offer of Admission will be stated in the offer of admission letter. Failure to respond by the date indicated on the offer of admission may result in withdrawal of the offer.
May 1 Registration opens for new program student registration in GCAP 631 (Fall term). Registration is not available for the Fall term until this date.
June 1 Registration closes for new program students in GCAP 631 (Fall term). No late registrations will be accepted without program approval.
June 28 6-week online orientation begins. This paced online course is mandatory for all new students. Failure to participate can result in withdrawal of the offer of admission.
September Classes begin. All students must be registered in GCAP 631.
