Key Dates in the Application Process

Master of Counselling

The following table provides both deadlines for the application process and timelines for program review and decision-making. Please pay careful attention to these deadlines when submitting your application.

Date Process Description Comments
February 1 Deadline to submit Application for Graduate Studies, the Masters or Post-Baccalaureate Diploma Program Applications and the Application Fee. No components of your application will be processed until the application fee is received.
February 1 Deadline to submit Advance Credit Assessments. Advance Credit will only be assessed at the time of application.
March 31 Application results posted by the Programs Office. Letter of Offer or notification of unsuccessful applications will be posted to your GCAP Application (Checklist/Application Status page). Do not contact the Program Office prior to this date to inquire about your application.
May 15 Deadline to reply to the Offer of Admission will be stated in the offer of admission (usually within 10 business days) Failure to respond by the date indicated on the Offer of Admission may result in withdrawal of the offer.
June 15 First Program Fee Installment A non-refundable Program Fee installment is required and will be credited towards your January program fee.
June 30 6-week online orientation begins. This paced online course is mandatory for all new students. Failure to participate can result in withdrawal of the offer of admission.
September Classes begin. All students must be registered in GCAP 631.
