Faculty of Business

Management curriculum comes to life when theory meets practice in Athabasca University's (AU) Faculty of Business’s interactive online graduate management programs. Students connect to a powerful learning environment that has stood the test of time, and learn alongside other highly experienced managers and executives from across Canada and around the world.

AU Faculty of Business graduate programs:

Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA)
In 1994, AU's Centre for Innovative Management (CIM) logged on with the world's first fully interactive online Executive MBA program. Today, the AU MBA is Canada's largest Executive MBA program, and has taken a place among the most respected Executive MBAs in the world.

Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
In 2009, the Faculty of Business continued its pioneering tradition by launching Canada’s first online Doctor of Business Administration. Students in this program are senior level management professionals researching practical business and managerial issues with an eye to fostering innovation and competitive advantage in Canada and beyond.

Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Management (PBDM)
This diploma is awarded after successful completion of Phase One of the Executive MBA program, and provides a solid, graduate-level foundation in management. It can be taken as a stand-alone credential, but because the PBDM is part of the MBA program, the admission requirements are the same.
