5.5. Other Academic-related Fees


The following fees apply to all undergraduate students. Refer to related online forms.
	Change of Program Fee/Reactivation Fee:

	levied when a student changes programs or changes from inactive to active status in a program (is reactivated). Refer to Section 6.5 Registration Definitions:	$50



	Evaluation Fee: Procedure One

	for students able to wait until they have completed 6 AU credits, payable only once and levied for the review of non-AU post-secondary studies. Refer to Section 6.6. Transferring Credit:	$55



	Evaluation Fee: Procedure Two

	for students requesting an evaluation before they have completed 6 AU credits. Refer to Section 6.6. Transferring Credit:	$200



	Extension Fee:

	up to 3 extensions (each is 2 months in length) will be granted during any one individualized-study course registration: [Note: Effective Sept. 1, 2004, $136 per extension]

	Invigilation Fee:

	most invigilation centres charge a fee for exam invigilation. This fee is not covered in your tuition paid to AU. Please consult your local invigilation centre to determine its fee schedule. variable



	Laboratory Fee:

	Lab component only: Science Lab Schedules	$300

	International Students: Lab component only (student living temporarily in Canada: student authorization)	$600



	Learning Resources Fee:

	refer to Section 5.10. Refunds and Returns: [Note: Effective Sept. 1, 2004, $160]	$150



	Letter of Permission Fee:

	Each Letter of Permission is issued for a single institution only and is valid for one year from the session start date. One Letter of Permission allows students to apply for a maximum of eight courses per Letter of Permission per semester/term.	$20



	Multiple Exam Fee:

	levied each time an exam is returned unwritten and requested again:	$40



	Parchment Replacement Fee:

		$60



	Prior Learning Assessment Fee:

		$250



	Supplemental Exam Fee:

		$90



	Transcript Fee (per copy):

		$15



	Withdrawal Processing Fee:

	retained by AU if a student withdraws before or within 30 days of an individualized-study course start date:	$75
