8.3 Access to Students with Disabilities

Under the umbrella of Learner Support Services at Athabasca University, Access to Students with Disabilities (ASD) is committed to providing students who have permanent or temporary disabling conditions with reasonable, individualized accommodations and support services in order to facilitate access and the successful completion of Athabasca University undergraduate and graduate programs and courses.

Enrolled or prospective students with a disabling and/or ongoing medical condition that may impact their ability to effectively pursue post secondary studies are encouraged to contact ASD in order to discuss the types of academic accommodations that may be available while attending Athabasca University.

Students registering for services through ASD are required to complete the Verification of Accommodation and Support Service Requirements (VOA) form. This form is available from the ASD website.

Students may also contact ASD to request this form.
