9.1 Learning Options

If you prefer to learn in the classroom you may take Athabasca University courses at partner institutions. Partnerships offer you additional learning options and help you transfer your past education to Athabasca University.

The University also partners with organizations and institutions for a variety of degree completion, and academic research, and administrative purposes.

Athabasca University has entered into a large number of collaboration agreements with institutions and organizations in Alberta, across Canada, and around the world. For more information, refer to Sections 9.3 and 9.4, and Alliances and Partnerships.

 

 
9.2 Transfer Arrangements

Through articulations with partner institutions, Athabasca University automatically accepts many college diplomas and other credentials as blocks of transfer credit toward Athabasca University programs.The University has articulated courses and programs from more than 240 institutions and organizations.

If no articulation is in place for the program that you have completed, you may request a course-by-course evaluation.To determine how your previous education could transfer to an Athabasca University program, contact a University advisor or refer to the Transfer Credit Database.
