Athabasca University Students' Union
Athabasca University Students' Union (AUSU) represents all AU undergraduate students by providing advocacy, student services and opportunities to interact with the student community.
Each undergraduate course registration includes a fee that covers AUSU membership for the duration of the course plus an additional six months. Members are eligible for a wealth of AUSU services, including access to online discussion forums and a chatroom where you can talk with other students; scholarships and financial assistance; student clubs; and peer support programs, such as Study Buddy and the Mentor Program, which match students with others in the same program or class for support and discussion.
AUSU also funds the online weekly student publication, The Voice Magazine. Our staff can provide you with information on other support services we provide, and also track student concerns so that we can best target our advocacy efforts. Visit the website for information on all of our programs, or call our office to learn how we can support your distance learning experience. We represent students of all ages and from all locales. Chances are there is someone just like you!
Fees are rated per credit and are paid through your Athabasca University course registration or reregistration. For non-credit courses, an equivalent credit rate is used. The equivalent credit rate is based on the regular contract period for a course. Refer to Section 5.7.
