6.20 Students with Disabilities

At the time of admission or when requesting your examination, please indicate whether you have a physical, medical, learning or mental disability, or limitation that may affect your academic progress.

If you answer “Yes” to question 1. on the print Undergraduate General Application Form (or use the online form by logging in to myAU), a brochure and letter for people with disabilities will be forwarded to you.

Return the Verification of Limitation Form, verified by a medical professional, to be eligible for the special services or privileges that Athabasca University provides. A “Yes” to question 1. on the print form, also authorizes Athabasca University to communicate your special status to tutors and invigilators.

If a physical, medical, learning, or mental disability or limitation impedes your study progress after your admission to Athabasca University, please inform the Office of the Registrar as soon as possible.

For detailed information on the services that we provide, please visit Athabasca University's Access for Students with Disabilities Web site or phone 800.788.9041 (ext. 3424) or 780.421.3282.
