Refunds: Grouped Study Course
|
|
You may be eligible for a refund of tuition fees, provided you withdraw from your grouped study course according to the criteria described in this section.
To formally withdraw from your course, you must complete and submit a Grouped Study Withdrawal Request Form. If you print the online form, you must submit it by mail, hand, or fax (780.657.6174) to the University; an e-mailed withdrawal request will not be accepted.
You cannot withdraw from a course and be eligible for a refund once the final examination is deemed to have been written. For information on withdrawing from a grouped study course, and the impact on your academic record, please refer to Section 6.18.1

Withdrawal Date (Grouped Study)
To be eligible for a refund, you must formally withdraw from your course before the third scheduled class. After this date, no refund will be issued.
If you withdraw before the course start date, the withdrawal processing fee will be waived.
The date of withdrawal will be the postmark on the envelope, the date of the online submission, or, if the form is hand-delivered or faxed (780.675.6174), the University date stamp.

If you withdraw after your third scheduled class, you will not receive a refund.

Refunds
(Grouped Study)
The qualifying date of the withdrawal request is determined by its method of delivery. Refunds are processed within approximately 45 days of Athabasca University's receipt of the form.

Credit Balances (Grouped Study)
Credit balances on your account, except for students who receive financial assistance from the Alberta Student Finance Board (or another provincial program), will be refunded to you or credited to your sponsor, whichever is applicable.
