5.3 Canadian Student Fees

5.3.1

Permanent residents of Alberta

General Application Form/Fee (New students)

The following all-inclusive fees apply to students who are living in Alberta or abroad while they are working for a Canadian embassy, consulate, or the Canadian Forces. These fees do not apply to students studying in Alberta on a study authorization (those students please refer to Section 5.4.2).

To recognize Alberta's centennial, the Alberta Government is paying to Athabasca University (AU) a portion of AU's course registration fee for Alberta residents starting AU three-, four-, or six-credit undergraduate courses between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2007 (the rebate does not apply to zero-credit courses).

The course registration fee that appears beside the courses that qualify, has been reduced already to reflect this government initiative.

Seniors are also given a reduction of one-half of the course extension fees; however, all other course and academic-related fees, including the one-time, non-refundable application fee and any service fees, must be paid in full.
