Bachelor of Management (Post Diploma): Human Resources Management Major
Regulations effective September 1, 2003

Students with an approved college diploma in Business or a closely related field will receive a block transfer award of 60 credits towards the Bachelor of Management (Post Diploma) - Human Resources Management degree, except students with two-year diplomas from approved Ontario colleges who will receive 45 credits (exception effective Jan. 1, 2004). These students must complete additional credits in non-Administrative Studies courses to reach the 60-credit figure.

  Other senior marketing courses, ENTP 212, ACCT 356, or MGSC 405
Other Administrative Studies credits at the senior (300 or 400) level

  Non-Administrative Studies credits with a minimum of 15 credits at the senior (300 or 400)
  Maximum Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) credit   9
  Minimum Athabasca University credits (including ADMN 404) in Years 3 and 4   30
Years 1 and 2 (60 credits)
  Approved college diploma  
Years 3 and 4 (60 credits)

ADMN 404 Business Policy* (3)
ADMN 404 must be taken with AU. Transfer credit will not be awarded. ADMN 404 should be taken as the last course in the program.

  * Note: Students cannot use IDRL 215 or IDRL 312 to fulfill a critical perspectives course as it is a requirement in this major.  




Options (24 credits)
Administrative Studies options at the senior (300 or 400) level. (Students are recommended to take IDRL and ORGB courses.) (6)

Non-Administrative Studies credits with a minimum
of 12 credits at the senior (300 or 400) level. Students are recommended to take HRMT and LBST courses.

Students must select 9 credits (3 courses) from the critical perspectives courses as outlined for the Bachelor of Management (Post Diploma) General, 120-credit program.
