Bachelor of Commerce: e-Commerce Major
     
Regulations effective January 1, 2003
   

Building on the Bachelor of Commerce program is Athabasca University’s
e-Commerce major. This program will use online enhancements to emulate the e-commerce business environment. The major core and electives will be delivered by a combination of e-Classes® and individualized-study course delivery methods.

Enrolment Restriction

Students holding a degree in administration, business, commerce or management; or a degree with a major, concentration, or any equivalency programs from Athabasca University or another university will not be accepted into the Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting Major program.

Enrolment Requirement

To gain entrance to the e-Commerce major, students must complete ACCT 253 Introductory Financial Accounting (or equivalent) and ADMN 232 Administrative Principles (or equivalent), each with a grade of 1.7 (60 percent) or more. Provisional program entrance will be allowed until these requirements are met.

Students are recommended to take ADMN 233 early in their program.

  The regulations for Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Commerce also apply to the e-Commerce major. All Administrative Studies courses will be offered as
e-Class® or as individualized-study courses with or without online enhancements. e-Class® class offerings involve grouped study with two entry points per year. Semesters will be 15 weeks in length.
