Athabasca University delivers degree programs, university certificate programs, and courses to students throughout a variety of educational institutions and associations. In some cases, these courses and programs are offered on site by paced delivery (group study that brings students together). Students in the Accelerated Accounting Certificate Program at NAIT may simultaneously enrol in the Bachelor of General Studies, Applied Studies designation degree program at Athabasca University. Students may take courses from either institute toward their B.G.S., Applied Studies degree. The courses in the NAIT Accelerated Accounting Program can provide up to 60 credits towards a Bachelor of General Studies, Applied Studies at Athabasca University.

13.2.  Educational Consortia

Athabasca University is a member of Alberta’s educational consortia. Each consortium is funded by Alberta Advanced Education and Career Development and is made up of post-secondary institutions that cooperate to deliver a wide range of programs. The offices of each consortium are open to the public and provide information about Athabasca University courses and programs, and may provide exam supervision, and use of audio-visual equipment and computer terminals. Students should check with the nearest consortium office to find out what services are provided.
