Faculty of Health Disciplines

The Faculty of Health Disciplines prepares graduates for careers and leadership in Counselling, Health Studies and Nursing. Graduate programs include:

  • Master of Counselling
  • Graduate Diploma in Counselling
  • Post-Masters Certificate in Counselling
  • Master of Health Studies
  • Master of Nursing: Generalist
  • Master of Nursing: Nurse Practitioner
  • Post-Masters Diploma: Nurse Practitioner

Please note: Athabasca University is currently unable to accept applications from British Columbia for the Master of Nursing: Nurse Practitioner and Post-Masters Diploma: Nurse Practitioner programs. Unfortunately, due to the limited availability of clinical placements in the province, learners are unable to complete program requirements. AU’s Faculty of Health Disciplines is working with the B.C. Ministry of Health to resolve this issue and plans to resume admission of B.C.-based students as soon as the practicum situation improves.

Information effective September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021.
